I continued to photograph the 2011’s Christmas, Christmas Day or literally “Christ’s mass” ( Eerste kerstdag in Dutch ) at St. Peter and Paul ( ST. Petrus and Paulus ) Cathedral in Paramaribo, Suriname at 25th December 2011.
The mass started at 10:00 AM and served by Bishop of Paramaribo, Monseigneur Wilhelmus Adrianus Josephus Maria de Bekker and Father Estaban Kross.
Mr. Chandrikapersad Santokhi, chairman of VHP ( Vooruitstrevende Hervormings Partij / Progressive Reform Party ) and former Minister of Justice and Police of the Republic of Suriname was guest with DNA ( De Nationale Assemblee / The National Assembly ) member Mr. Asiskumar Gajadien.
I used sort of lenses with my Nikon D2Xs ;
- AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
- AF Nikkor 35mm f/2.0D
- Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D AF
- Zeiss Makro-Planar T* f/2 100mm ZF.2 manual focus lens
All photos captured in NEF (RAW) and converted to JPG with Capture NX2 in batch process without any manual touch.
As you know the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral is World’s largest wooden cathedral and re-opened again in 2010 after its renovation completed. You may see some more photos from ;
