Wandelmars also known as AVD was performed for the 48th time this year.

Today I made one more stop at front of an Indian (Hindustani) Temple located on Tweede Rijweg – Lalla Rookweg.

I saw a traffic check behind the Frank Essed Stadium at Rattan Oemrawsingh Straat while returning to home with my bicycle. I captured my final shoots there for today. I was so curious about the police check because I know that Suriname Government ( actually Ministry of Police and Justice ) will start alcohol and speed check soon, finally they received their all newly ordered & necessary equipments after years waiting.

It’s very dangerous to drive between cities even in the city of Paramaribo with low speeds, especially night times. Because road conditions are not so good, floods, too many new cars, new drivers. But most dangerous parts are drunk drivers, drugged drivers some times too. Many of drivers are using too bright beam lights with at least 4 or more bulbs. People are not using their left-right turn lights even while passing the vehicles. I hope people can control their habits for more safe drive.

All photos converted from NEF (Nikon’s RAW format) to JPG and resized with Capture NX2 in batches without any manual touch.

Every year the “ avondvierdaagse “ ( four day walking march in Dutch ) is held in Paramaribo, the capital city of Suriname, South America. Many groups and single walkers will participate. All the groups dressed up for this occasion. They will walk and dance coming next three days mostly under the hot sun. The event attracts a lot of viewers along the streets with different routes on all four days.
