Wandelmars also known as AVD was performed for the 48th time this year.
I start to capture the moments slightly early and continued during next few hours. I found some interesting scene while returning to home and added to my slide show too. Workers were cutting down a huge tree with sawyer and crane, trucks etc.
My post includes approximately 200 photos. I captured all 48th of AVD Wandelmars Day One – 2012 photos with my Nikon D2Xs while using sort of lenses ;
- Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar T* f/2 100mm ZF.2 manual focus lens.
- Nikkor 35mm f/2.0D AF
- Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D AF
All photos converted from NEF (Nikon’s RAW format) to JPG and resized with Capture NX2 in batches without any manual touch.

Every year the “ avondvierdaagse “ ( four day walking march in Dutch ) is held in Paramaribo, the capital city of Suriname, South America. Many groups and single walkers will participate. All the groups dressed up for this occasion. They will walk and dance coming next three days mostly under the hot sun. The event attracts a lot of viewers along the streets with different routes on all four days. |
