21st Telesur Fitness Run 2011

Traditional 21st Telesur Fitness Run 2011 held today at Onafhankelijkheidsplein (Independent Square) in Paramaribo, Suriname.

Participants ran/walked in two categories:

  • 5 km fitness run
  • 10 km high-speed Telesur run

Participants of 5 km fitness run were ready almost an hour ago before the Telesur Director Mr. Dirk Currie’s starting flag. This one is funny for many of Surinamese while participating to well known, famous walk with their children, baby’s, elders… At the end of walk long tables were ready to serve waters and ice creams.

The next part was a difficult and hard one. Athletes, participants also from French Guyana and Guyana were busy for warming till to start time. The Red Cross Suriname also ready there and they helped a lot to the participants.

The official winners are coming soon.
